WENDY SIEGEL Obituary

Jan. 17, 2019, of Sicklerville, NJ, passed away on the 17th of January at Jefferson Hospital in Stratford, NJ.  She was born April 16, 1949 in Cherry Hill to the late Rosalie and the late Leonard Siegel.  She was a graduate of Temple University with a degree in Music.

Wendy was an artist, author, lecturer, administrator, advocate, a mother, a sister, an aunt, and a dear friend.  She was passionate about her artistry, as evidenced by her work as a professional musician as well as her beautiful stained glass creations.  She held varied roles throughout her career, ie: lecturer, author, administrator, performer, entrepreneur and advocacy for the disabled.  She owned her own computer consulting company in the early stages of computer processing technology as well as being an administrator.

She became the matriarch of the family after the passing of her mother. She embodied the basic values of Judaism and instilled it in her siblings. Wendy’s great passion in life was her family, especially her sister, the late Carol Sue Siegel. Her care and work with her disabled sister Carol led to a life of advocacy for the disabled and changed countless numbers of lives.  Carol helped to inspire Wendy’s advocacy for disabled rights.  She served on the board of Joyful Noise chorus and she even wrote a book.  Her involvement in these organizations enriched the lives of countless mentally and physically challenged people.  Wendy is survived by her siblings; David and Ellen Siegel and Barbara Whiteside.
